Online platform for monitoring the implementation of bird action plans
(!) This is actually the review of the implementation of the EU Action Plan for the Egyptian Vulture. The document itself includes the status review of the population of the species.
A planning workshop, organized by BSPB (BirdLife Partner in Bulgaria), was held on 6-8 July 2015, in Sofia, Bulgaria.
This is the final draft Flyway Action Plan for the Conservation of the Balkan and Central Asian Populations of the Egyptian Vulture (EVFAP).
The Flyway Action Plan for the Conservation of the Balkan and Central Asian Populations of the Egyptian Vulture (EVFAP) was commissioned by the Raptors MoU and EC, and was developed by BSPB (BirdLife Partner in) Bulgaria and the partners in the frame of the LIFE+ project The Return of the Neophron (HOS/BirdLife Greece, WWF Greece and RSPB). The EVFAP was adopted by the CMS at COP12 in October (23-28th) 2017 as integrated part of the Vulture MsAP.
The results of the monitoring of implementation of the Species Action Plan will be available here. The results will be shown by country (pie chart) and by conservation action (map). This phase will start during the implementation of the Action Plan.
The EVFAP should be reviewed every five years (first review of implementation in 2021), and updated every 10 years (first update in 2026). An emergency review will be undertaken if there is a sudden major change liable to affect the target population.
