Alcaraz, who should have been competing in the ATP 500 in Basel this week, withdrew from the Swiss tournament citing discomfort in his left foot and fatigue in his back, but these physical problems do not seem to force him to give up more tournaments.
«I feel better every day and I will play in Paris-Bercy and Turin. I want to end the year well,” Alcaraz said on his social networks. The last Masters 1,000 of the season will begin on November 30, while the masters tournament, which brings together the eight best tennis players of the year, will be held from November 12 to 19. This year, Alcaraz will not have to worry about the Davis Cup Finals, since David Ferrer’s team failed to advance to the knockout phase in Malaga.
Therefore, their season only has these two tournaments left. Since the US Open semifinals in which he lost to Daniil Medvedev, the Murcian has only played in Beijing, where he reached the semifinals, and in the Shanghai Masters 1,000, where he remained in the round of 16.
